Concorde often flew with the famous Red Arrows, the aerobatic team from the UK’s Royal Air Force. They provided some brilliant moments together, especially flying low with Concorde leading the Red Arrows in formation over Buckingham Palace.
Their nine Hawk aircraft use Rolls Royce Adour engines and the Red Arrows motto is Eclat, a French word meaning brilliance or excellence. They were formed in 1964 during Concorde’s development period. The Hawk was made by BAE Systems who also co-manufactured Concorde.
